Haste makes waste or how January 2014 Birchbox disappointed

I mentioned today how fast my box shipped and how it's content seemed to have been changed overnight ( no Eyeko boo!!!!). I could have lived with the changed content but it seems like someone forgot to include a fourth item in my sample box. I've already emailed Birchbox customer service and now I have to wait for their reply.

I am a little bit miffed. This box did not seem to be a great one from the beginning but now it has almost reached the level of dreadful.

What was supposed to be in my box? Here, take a look:

At first glance it seems like an ok box. 

But then you discover that your body lotion sample is 3 tiny foil samples... Like the one you can get in a newspaper. WTH!!!

I know a lot of people were interested in the 100%pure products! to tell you the truth I was hoping for a sample of their mascara ( I have used their eye cream a while ago), but I accepted that I would be getting a sample of their body cream ( and guess what I did get the coconut scent that I hate)

So without further ado let me present you with a picture of the advertised body cream:

Sample size 3x 0.066fl oz = 0 .198 about 0.2 oz  ( correct me if I'm wrong worth about $0.38)

Continuing with the irony I have received two foils with coconut smell and one pink grapefruit. The size of the samples is ridiculously small. I mean I could try it if I was a miniature human.

As I remembered the coconut smells really overpowering ( I have not opened the other one yet) . With the given size all I can do it test it on my hands. The formula is good but the scent is awful.

I will try the pink grapefruit but I am so disappointed with the size of the sample that I will not be shopping for it.

This seems to be the British response to Eve Loom which I tried a while ago ( at least this muslin cloth is bigger). I was not crazy about it, and now I am curious how Liz Earle will perform as compared. It smells of rosemary and eucalyptus - I will give it a try.

It's a pretty deep pink that is supposed to change into red color outdoors. I was interested in this item so I am glad I got a sample of it.

As I said I tried this tea and it's acceptable but nothing to write about.

Overall I am disappointed with Birchbox this month. I've had it since September and every month I receive a detangler/conditioner/mask. I would like to get a dry shampoo to try. I don't mind getting hair care samples but please make it out of something I have not tried yet!

To top it all, they have managed to forget the hair product sample this month. Not cool Birchbox, not cool at all.
