Summertime lightness

Ipsy sent out this July a very well-balanced bag. I have used most of the items through the summer.
Here is what I got:

In a bright pink bag some goodies to last us a while

#1 bareMinerals 5-in-1 BB Cream Eyeshadow in Divine Wine
Full size: 0.1 fl oz. - $18
Sample Size 1ml/0.03oz - $5.4

It's ok. I know, you're going to say BUT it's bare minerals, it's 5 in one eye shadow base and shadow itself it's ... miracle product. Well. In my experience the more uses a product promises the less useful it is. I can use it as an eyeshadow primer but it has a color that looks dark on me. I will be using it as a base for a darker look come fall. It was an ok sample for me.

#2 Befine Food Skin Care
Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15
Full size: 1.7 oz -$24
Sample size: 1.5 oz. -c.$21

Oh, this was a moisturizer that had me a bit giddy. I can find it in my local store so if I end up liking it I don't have to owl order   order it online. In my experience it has been a light cream that goes well under my minimal summer makeup. It is easily absorbed. I really like using it. EDT Sep. 2014 I went to Befine website and it seems that this product is offered in a newer version. The one we have received boasted Rosemary,Pomegranate and Rice protein as ingredients whereas now it has Rosemary,  Pomegranate, Safflower Seed Oil, Aloe and Rice protein. I am still using this July sample that was more like a full size item. I might buy it again come spring.

Full size: 3g-   $14
Sample size: 1.8g - $8.4

I really like PIXI brand and to find out that they have created a pH reactive lip balm that is easy on my consciousness and my skin- well I was really happy to try it. And then I took it with me on summer adventures. It moisturizes and colors your lips in a flattering shade without being too obvious. I used to own a Dior lip balm that had the same purpose. I am glad that there is an option to buy a similar product from a company that has my health in mind.

Full size: 15 ml - $15
Sample: 10 ml - $10

This is  a beautiful blue color. It does take two-three coats to show (one is not enough) but it is definitely worth the hassle. It is a bit runny but at least you know that you are applying a vegan "three free" polish that will not harm your nails. On my nails (and applied over  butter base and sealed with a good top coat) it lasts about 4-5 days. Not even all my OPI nail polishes last that long, and I think that the color is just gorgeous. I am happy for the opportunity to test it.

#5 Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil Spf 8
Full size: 8 oz. - $11.99
Sample: 1 fl oz. - $1.50

This was one item that I was really really hesitant to try. I don't tan, and temptation was great. I caved to it and tried it out on my legs- on the website they write that it is r" rich in vitamins, antioxidants & exotic plants extracts." - well I don't know what's in it I only know that I really liked using it. It was subtle yet made a noticeable difference. I loved it.

And I have awesome BFF  :***
She gave me her Tints&Sass by Elizabeth Mott.
I was so surprised that she parted with it so easily but after the third question of "Are you sure you want to give this to me" and a snapped "Yes" I decided to shut up and count my blessings.

It's a good product even if it is a bit drying on my lips. I tried it as a blush but then decided to save it for the winter when I use a bit more coverage and I will be able to use it with more confidence (a little goes a looooong way).

Overall I was really happy with my July Ipsy bag.
